01About the tilt & turn window
Tilt & Turn Window explained.
Tilt & turn windows are the modern European window. Turn the handle up and the top of the sash tilts inward a few inches for safe, draught-free ventilation. Turn it sideways and the whole sash swings into the room like a door.
Because both glass faces can be reached from inside, cleaning is easy even on upper floors. Locked, the sash closes on multi-point locks and rubber seals, making tilt & turn one of the best windows for soundproofing.

Handle down: locked. Handle sideways: the sash turns open on its side hinges. Handle up: the sash tilts in at the top for ventilation while staying secure.
